Meetings and Class Schedule
Final details on room reservations are still pending. We
made TE480 class assignments
based on your geographic location, but if you miss your regular
session you may attend one of the other scheduled TE480 classes.
FALL 2004 TE 480 Intern Seminar Schedule
I. EUP Sections (Dr. Attie)
If you are student teaching in a school in the Eastern
Upper Peninsula, please plan on the following dates for
the TE 480 Intern Seminar: Tuesday,

II. Ontario Section (Dr. Attie)
The sessions will be held
the Algoma District School Board building 644 Albert St. East in
the DTWalkom Room. Meeting dates Sept 16 and 30, Oct 14
and 28, and Nov 11th each from 5-7 pm. Contact Dr. Attie
with questions.
III. Mt. Pleasant (Prof. Nixon)
REVISED (corrected) on 13 Sept
04: The TE480 seminar for students in the mid-Michigan
region will be held in the library of Ganiard Elementary
School, 101 S. Adams Street, Mt. Pleasant. Contact Prof.
Nixon with questions (989) 733-8649 Meeting dates for the
seminar: Sept 13 (Monday) and Sept 28. Oct 12 and
Oct 26, Nov 9 an d23 and Dec 7. As an FYI, Tuesday Sept 14
Ganiard has their open house.
IV. Indian River Section (Prof. Nixon)
REVISED (corrected) on 13 Sept
04: The TE480 seminar for students in Northern Lower
Michigan will be held at first session will be held at Inland
Lakes Schools 5243 S. Straits Hwy, Indian River. Contact
Prof. Nixon with questions. Sessions will be held from
5:30-7:30 pm on Sept 15 and 29, Oct 11 and 27, November 10
and 17, and December 8. :
V. Detroit Area Section (Prof. Westrick)
1st Meeting is September 1, 2004 from 6-8 pm. Sessions
will be held at the PowerTran Building located at 1605 Bonner
Ave, Ferndale MI. Traveling on I-696 use the Hilton
Campbell Exit #17, travel South to 9-mile Road, then East on
9-mile road to the first street which is Bonner (a Fire Station
is on the Corner). Contact Gloria Westrick with questions

Please bring proof of liability insurance
to the first meeting or bring a copy of it to the School of
Education Office in South Hall. Contact the Michigan Education
Association at 635-1544 and speak to Bonnie Prudeaux about the
Student MEA membership ($27.00 U.S.) which includes the
liability coverage. You may also get the liability through your
private insurance company.
There will be no official text, but internet sites will be
used to supplement classroom management discussion.
